We drive a smallish SUV (Jeep Renegade) and when we go camping for a week (tenters), we didn't have enough room inside our even with a roof top pod to bring our floating devices or all the firewood hubby likes to bring. This rack made all the difference on our summer vacation! We brought all the equipment and play toys we needed and wanted. It was easy to put together and install and seems very sturdy. We had a paddleboard, kayak, cooler and firewood on the rack and it rode mighty! It's been a pleasure using it. Overall, a solid product that I would recommend to others.
It came out of the package with some minor scuffs, but the installation was pretty quick. I’m pretty handy so it only took me about 10 minutes for someone that’s not handy. I would expect to Take take maybe 45 minutes. The instructions aren’t really too clear. The worlds are pretty not bad. The locking mechanism works well. It’s a little shaky but stabilizing parts which is a plus looking forward to using it says it’s rated for 500 pounds but I don’t think More than 300 pounds will use this weekend so may update It's been a pleasure using it. It's not bad but not without its flaws. Could use some improvements in usability.
I ordered two of these—one original and one replacement. Unfortunately, both sets arrived with the hitch mounting support welded at an angle, which caused the carrier to be significantly off-center. While it may be difficult to see in the photos of the mounted carrier, the assembly leans to the right. Overall, using it has been enjoyable; it's a solid product, but it does have some flaws. There’s definitely room for improvement in terms of usability.
I had approximately 250 lbs on it, and the receiver bar bent to about a 45-degree angle. After getting it repaired, it continues to bend even with just 250 lbs. Every bump on the road causes it to bend a little more. I've only put 800 miles on it. If you plan to carry any weight, I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, using it has been enjoyable, but it does have its shortcomings. There are definitely areas where usability could be improved.
It took just half an hour to put together and set up. The bag is fantastic—much bigger than I expected. Using it has been a delight. The construction quality is excellent, and it holds up remarkably well under pressure.
